Replace {name}, {amount}, {month}, {dueDate} and {business} with your own details – or let the FeeSend app fill them in for every member automatically.
When to send
Two or three days before the break, and once more the evening before if the break is long. For sudden closures, send it as soon as you decide.
Tips
- If the holiday cuts into the classes a fee covers, say how you'll make up the lost class. That removes most fee questions.
- Suggest one piece to practise during a long break so students don't lose progress.
- Send the notice to everyone at once with FeeSend instead of messaging each parent separately.
Mistakes to avoid
- Announcing a holiday only verbally in class; younger students forget to tell parents.
- Not giving the restart date.

Questions
Do I need to give a fee discount for music class holidays?
Not usually for public holidays. For long breaks, a make-up class or a carry-forward is the fairest option.
How do I send a holiday notice to all parents?
In FeeSend you can pick the notice template and send it to each parent from your own WhatsApp, one tap per contact.
